General Assembly 2026: Florian Düx elected as new President

On Friday, 12 June 2026, the General Assembly of TSG 1861 Kaiserslautern e. V. took place — an evening full of emotion, gratitude and decisions that will set the course for the future.

Particularly moving was the farewell to the outgoing President and Lord Mayor of the city of Kaiserslautern, Beate Kimmel. Over 15 years in office — with vision, commitment and heart — she left a lasting mark on the club's development, among other things through 30 major projects and investments of around one million euros. In recognition of her exceptional service, she was named Honorary President.

Managing Director Ingo Marburger was also bid farewell as he entered retirement. Over his 34 years of service he played a decisive part in shaping the club and, in thanks, was ceremonially named an Honorary Member. Grounds warden Heinz-Jürgen Ries, who did not stand again after 13 years, received the Badge of Honour of TSG 1861 Kaiserslautern e. V.

The assembly then unanimously elected a new board: Florian Düx was elected the new President. Frank Dupré (1st Chairman), Peter Halbritter (2nd Chairman) and Bijan Kalhorifar (Head of Sport) were re-elected. New to the board are Susanne Knorr as Treasurer and Anne Rohmer as grounds warden.

In sporting terms, too, the club looks back on a highly successful year — most notably the promotion of the table tennis men's team to the 2nd Bundesliga. Financially the club remains very soundly positioned and enjoys very good liquidity.
