Handball

Handball is a dynamic team sport in which two teams of seven players each compete against one another. The sport calls for individual skills such as speed and agility as well as teamwork and tactical intelligence — it develops not only physical fitness but also social skills and strategic thinking.

In the youth ranks, TSG 1861 Kaiserslautern e. V. trains and plays in a successful joint team (Spielgemeinschaft) with 1. FC Kaiserslautern e. V. At senior level, both the women's and men's sides play in joint teams with 1. FC Kaiserslautern e. V. as well as TuS 04 Dansenberg e. V. These partnerships strengthen the teams' competitiveness and the sporting infrastructure across the region.
